We managed to miss him and he hopped happily along. flies, flies and more flies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway we get to the main road thinking there would be a servo but the first on in 129km further and we are so low alreay!!! We made it by driving 90km Thank Goodness. Again another long way to Denham and Monkey Mia, there are still flies but it's a little bit better but it is so hot!!! Tomorrow, after feeding the dolphins we go to Denham and see what it is like there.

Day 21 - Saturday

From Jurien Bay driving to Kalberri, to see the pink lake along the way;;;;;;;;;;;;NO WATER!!!

Kalberri full of flies , two weeks ago it were mozzies. The pool was good. We have tried our hands on fishing again and ofcourse i got stuck on the rock and lost my hook. so instead we got stuck into the cheep booze and had a sleepless night due to it being soooo hot, we left the caropen but stilllll, too hot.

We did take the coast road as you suggested, saw some lovely places like Hillarys and then on to Cervantes......back south to the pinnacles, we got out of the car and from that moment on Martijn was saying 'f**k, f**k and more f**ck....................flies everywhere, mainly in his ears and nose...... it was awfull. when i walked behing him there whereabout 30 of them!!! Suddenly the car showed us it was overheating......dayum................we drove slowly and suddenly it went back to normal. We made it to Kalbarri without any problems and found the camping. Went fishing again; more bloody flies and i caught a baby fish, threw it back in the water and the next time i got stuck on a rock and lost my hook! oh well did some fishing while Mart;ijn was fishing,no luck....back to the van....got a call from my honey, who is missing me like crazy and .................i do too.

having some drinks now, white wine.............going for a swim soon while Martijn is doing the BBQ. j

Tomorrow out of this fly-invested place....................looking for greener pastures...........

Day 19 - Thursday

Early morning as we had to drop the car of for a service. Peter took us to the train station so we could have a day in Perth. Very hot day but Perth is a lovely relaxed city, very green, clean, free public buses in the city and Kings Park was just lovely. Back at our station, Peter was already waiting for us and had already picked up the van. At home he made the pizzas................later on Wilma came home and helped to make them too.........................they were just great and the pizzas were terrific. We had a lovely night of talking and a few drinks.............. So nice to sleep in a real bed...........

Day 18 - Wednesday

Left Preston and drove via Mandurah to Fremantle, thought about taking a Ferry to Rottnest island which is only half an hour away. $72 pp ! Skip that one. On the island you have to hire bikes as wel as there is no other transport, also for a nasty price! Forget it. Back to Rockingham; gorgeous beach, we had a swim, it was lovely! After that we went to Baldivis where my dutch friends live. So nice to finally meet eachother in person. Wilma had cooked a curry, absoluty restaurant style, so nice, Drinks in the garden, such a relaxing evening!!! And then.....a real bed!!! Nice!

Day 17 - Tuesday

On the road again. First a lovely place called Brusselton. It has a 2km jetty with a little train running on it. Martijn didn't want to go and stayed on the beach but i hopped on the train and went all the way to the end where i had an underwater observatory tour. Great, such clear water, loved it! After returning we went on to Bunbury but that wasn't much so we ended up in Preston Beach, no camping there, just a big parking area next to the beach. I saw a ranger and asked him about a camping ; he told me that we could camp on the parking area if we wanted. There were toilets, 2 cold showers, BBQs and seats so what more do you want? We stayed, gorgous beach, had a Barbie, went fishing; Martijn caught the only fish! Saw the sun going down in the sea and had a great sleep. What a lovely way to travel around.

Day 16 - Monday

We had booked a beer, wine, cocktails, chocolate, & cheese tour. First winery she pours a mouthfull in a glass, so i say, you can fill it up, lol, she didn't. Glad she didn't cause after about 12 tastings i thought, 'wow'. Straight to the next wineyare, he was a bit more generous and after these tastings i felt pretty happy! Different beers next, that was it, i has as jolly as larry!!! Lucky we had some lunch too. Anyway at the ned of the day i was happy to simply roll into bed as you can imagine. Great day!!
Wink

Day 15 - Sunday

I could NOT sleep!! yeah after 1am a bit. not nice. We had pizza the night before and Martijn kept farting and burping - it made me sick. Anyway, up early again as usual. After breakie we booked our beer & wine tour for tomorrow and booked another night in the caravan park as we will be dropped off early evening and we'll be well oiled - i hope.

We drove to a beach, which was ok but not like in Queensland; lot of rubbish on the beach, many rocks in the water and seeweed, just a small area where the water was light and good to swim. But soon it turned into Zandvoort , on a very good day in peak season!! We fled the scene and spotted another surfing beach, great for surfers but not for us. Back to the camping and into the pool. The weather is great and they say it's gonna stay like this. Tonight we are doing a BBQ yet again, love it. Looking forward to tomorrow.
